Aloha and Welcome to Hale Hou Hoaloha come and enjoy your Hawaiian holiday in a lovely, spacious, light filled home all your own. In creating this vacation home it was important for the owner to build a place that could be enjoyed by all, including the disabled. Thus, this home is fully handicapped accessible with lots of extra special features for those with special needs.

When you enter this hale you will notice the lovely tropical furnishings and décor, shiny African mahogany floors, large fully equipped gourmet kitchen w/ top of the line appliances, and dining area. Spacious living room w/cable T.V inside hutch. The bedrooms consist of a four poster queen size bed in the master bedroom with it’s own master bathroom. First guest room has two single beds and second guest room has one queen size bed. Guest bathroom is conveniently located between both bedrooms. This home also features indoor laundry room with front load washer & dryer, and a 400 sq.ft. lanai where you can enjoy out door dining and take in your ocean views.

This hale is located on the beautiful Puna coast a mere block from the ocean, bringing you our island sunshine and trade breezes.

went to pahoa to meet my new grandson. we rented this beautiful home for a week. very comfortable and clean. has a great wrap around porch where we ate all meals and talked and played games. you can hear the ocean waves hitting shore while sitting on porch. we cooked most meals at house and went sightseeing for few hours each day. great trip. would stay again at this house and recommend to everyone. thanks.

First, of the three houses I've rented on the Big Island, this was the cleanest (and meeting Juan, the wonderful man who looks after the house, is the best way to start a vacation). I've used the rental company twice and will definitely use them in the future -- they are responsive and seem to really care about their customers. As for the house itself, it was perfect for a delightfully relaxing vacation -- I saw whales, heard them at night, and enjoyed the company of a number of the local residents in the neighborhood, who were very welcoming. The house is close enough to activities to not feel remote, but far enough off the beaten path to provide a unique experience. Because the house and surrounding area was so pleasant, I spent much more time hanging out on the lanai and much less time running around the island than I had expected to -- and I came back to the mainland feeling like I had really had a vacation! Thanks Tara, Jessica, Juan, and the rest of the gang! See you next time :)

The house was delivered to us by Juan who is an amazingly nice guy. He was so nice to allow us to borrow his fishing poll. Thank you. We arrived after dark so it was a little hard to find as it is pitch dark out there. The overall condition of the house is quite good. We would have loved to have some kind of window covering whereby people cannot see in when it is dark outside. We feel a little like living in a fish bowl as we know everyone can see in but we cannot see out. Perhaps an inexpensive mini-blinds under the tastefully done bamboo curtains might help. The kitchen and the great room is our favorite. It was well stocked with essentials and cooking utensils as well as all appliances a chef could want. The bathrooms had some bugs all over the sinks, we think it is because of the weather and perhaps the maid did not see them when they were cleaning. Some of the bamboo shades in the living room and the other 2 bedrooms actually were broken thus we cannot lower or raise the shades easily. My husband and I are quite pleased, as we stated earlier, with the overall condition of the home however since this is a vacation rental, we do understand that many things can happen in between the rentals with many guests occupying the home. In all Juan had done a terrific job keeping it up and we will rent the house again when we return to the island. Thank you for an enjoyable time!
